## Notice

Northumberland County Council is looking to appoint a Contractor for Pilot study into handrail at Union Chain Bridge to the Heritage Lottery Funded 'Union Chain Bridge: crossing borders, inspiring communities' project. The project involves a complex range of stakeholders - it is being undertaken jointly between Northumberland and Scottish Borders Councils with Woodhorn Charitable Trust (WCT) providing operational support - and a range of consultancies. Northumberland County Council in partnership with Scottish Borders Council are planning major structural repairs to the bridge, which includes wrought and cast-iron components as well as the masonry tower / anchorages and the environs.
