## Summary

The procurement process involves Telford & Wrekin Council purchasing a Special Education Need and/or Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SEND IASS), aimed at supporting children and young people aged 0-25 and their parents in navigating education, health, and social care provisions. The tender is classified under health and social work services and was awarded on 14th May 2019, with a contract value of £518,000 for a duration of five years, starting from 1st October 2019, with the potential for a two-year extension. The service is expected to reach a wide audience within the Telford area, ensuring compliance with the Children & Families Act 2014 and related regulations.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small or medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community sector enterprises (VCSEs), to expand their offerings in the health and social services sector. Companies that specialise in providing educational support services, including advice and advocacy for families with special educational needs or disabilities, would be ideally positioned to compete in this market. Engaging in such contracts allows businesses to contribute positively to community welfare while also strengthening their service portfolio.
