Under this initiative the Council would enter into a contract to forward purchase newly constructed homes for affordable rent off-plan, for a fixed price to be agreed with the house builder. The total contract value in a single year for this initiative, must be less than PS4,733,252. This initiative is aligned with the Council's vision and priorities adopted in 2018 and recognises the need to look towards both the public and private sector developers to achieve the Council's housing delivery targets.
