This service was first introduced in 2010 and is well established. \r \r In 2019 the councils commercial waste service began a food recycling option to business customers and currently 50 local businesses including schools, restaurants and care homes, receive a regular collection of food waste via their commercial arrangement with the Council. The council is keen to explore innovative ways of capturing more food waste from businesses within the district in partnership with the contractor.
