Within this new integrated service there are two key components: 1) A Wellbeing component to be delivered by a prime provider and forms the basis of this procurement, and 2) A Healthy Lifestyles component which is to be managed and delivered in house by South Gloucestershire Council. The Council therefore wishes appoint of an independent prime provider who will be responsible for managing delivery of the Wellbeing component of the service, working in an integrated way with the Council's Healthy Lifestyles component and in partnership with community groups and providers. The Wellbeing Provider will support individuals and communities to deliver high quality activities that embed the principles of prevention, recovery, mental wellbeing and self-care to improve individual wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. The procurement is for an initial period of three years with the Council having authority to extend if it so decides for a further period of up to two years.
