This service will deliver care for patients registered with a GP in Milton Keynes that encourages closer working relations with referrers and enables a more flexible and responsive service. The service will provide an alternative to hospital based treatment for the majority of patients being referred by GP's for level 1 Community Physiotherapy supporting the CCG's strategy to move care closer to home. Patients requiring more complex MSK services will be referred to the Integrated Musculo-Skeletal and Pain Management Service (IMSK) or the acute hospital when there is a need for hospital based specialist services. The contract for the Level 1 Community Physiotherapy Service in Milton Keynes is for three years with a possible option to extend for a further year. The contract will commenced on 1st February 2018.
