## Notice

Hertfordshire Coroner Service is required to provide investigative and administrative service to HM Coroners for the coronial area of Hertfordshire, in accordance with the Coroners & Justice Act 2009. Contractors are required to remove the deceased from the place of death and other locations where the death may be referred to a Coroner and take them directly to a hospital mortuary or their premises unless otherwise directed by the police. Contractors may also be required to conduct the transfer of the deceased between hospitals.
