This initiative, classified under the industry category of detention and rehabilitation services (CPV code 75231200), is in the Tender stage, with the submission deadline set for 7th October 2021. The contract, valued at £45,000, is scheduled to commence on 3rd January 2022 and conclude on 31st March 2023. This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses that specialise in restorative justice, rehabilitation services, or youth support programmes. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be particularly well-suited to compete, given the nature of the services required, which includes interventions such as victim-offender conferences and mediation efforts. This project not only aims to reduce reoffending rates but also to enhance community engagement and support the personal development of young adults, making it an impactful contract for social impact-focused organisations.

## Notice

MOPAC is seeking a supplier to provide a restorative justice (RJ) service for the Youth 2 Adult (Y2A) Hub, a government-funded pilot seeking to reduce reoffending amongst young adults on probation in Newham. The RJ service will include assessing young adults' and victims' suitability for RJ, delivering RJ interventions and supporting other hub practitioners to take restorative approaches in their work. RJ interventions delivered by the Supplier should at a minimum include: - Conferences between young adults and victims; - Conferences or mediation between young adults and family members; - 'Shuttle' RJ approaches (communication via letters or videos). The Supplier may also be required to provide other types of RJ interventions, such as conferences between young adults and members of the community who have been affected by their crime or mediation between young adults and professionals. The overarching aim of the Service is to increase young adults' access to restorative justice interventions and approaches by delivering interventions and embedding restorative justice approaches across the hub. By increasing young adults' access to restorative justice, the Service aims to support young adults to repair the harm of their crime, encourage them to take responsibility for their actions, to build empathy and support the maturation process. Bids and clarification questions should be submitted to tender@mopac.london.gov.uk
