## Summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is currently in the planning stage for a procurement titled "UHB Secure Clinical Photograph Application." This procurement falls under the services category and specifically targets the IT software package industry. The procurement is taking place in Birmingham, West Midlands. The engagement end date for this market engagement exercise is 2 April 2025. This project aims to develop a secure clinical photography app for use across UHB's various sites, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, and Solihull Hospital.

This tender provides a substantial opportunity for businesses, particularly SMEs, to contribute to a significant IT healthcare project. Companies specialising in secure software solutions, particularly those capable of handling sensitive healthcare data, would find this opportunity particularly fitting. The future app will enable clinical staff to securely upload photographs, video, and audio files directly to the healthcare record system, a vital task that ensures patient data security and efficiency in medical documentation. Interested suppliers should express their interest by the 2 April 2025 deadline via the Health Family Single eCommercial System Portal. The involvement in such a critical project can offer substantial growth potential and a foothold in the healthcare technology sector.

## Notice

University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, providing acute and specialist services to a population of over 2.2 million people. UHB operates across four main sites: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, and Solihull Hospital, as well as several remote sites. UHB has a large team of qualified clinical photographers who provide clinical photography across all the Trust's main hospital sites plus community sites. However, the demand for clinical photography outstrips the capacity of the clinical photographers. A secure clinical photography app solution is needed to allow clinical staff to photograph patients when a clinical photographer is not available. The app will need to allow for secure upload to the healthcare record with images not being stored on the device. Ability to capture and upload video and audio files would also be beneficial. Suppliers wishing to participate in this market engagement exercise and express an interest in this requirement should respond to the questionnaire via the online form on the Health Family Single eCommercial System Portal (Atamis) by 14:00 on Wednesday 2nd April 2025 https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome Please search for C347110
