The objective of this research project is to gather quantitative evidence and explore ways of increasing collection and proper treatment of portable batteries, consider revisions to the producer responsibility obligations for industrial (including electric vehicle) and automotive batteries and other measures to support a circular economy for batteries. The aim of the research is to gather quantitative evidence needed for the Impact Assessment of the Batteries Reform.
