## Summary

The Ministry of Defence, representing British Forces Cyprus (BFC), is currently in the Tender stage for the provision of an Acquisition Safety and Environmental Management System (ASEMS) for their white fleet vehicles. Interested businesses should note that this open procedure contract, valued at £77,000, covers ASEMS provision and maintenance for civilian fleet vehicles at BFC's location on the island of Cyprus. The contract spans from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2029. Key dates include the tender period ending on 4 November 2024 at 12:00 PM. This opportunity, classified under "Health and safety consultancy services" (CPV code: 71317210), requires the contractor to handle annual reviews and quarterly progress meetings, with travel to Cyprus being a requisite part of the services.

This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs capable of delivering specialised health and safety consultancy services. Companies with expertise in legislative compliance, particularly those experienced in maintaining and updating existing document sets, will find this contract well-suited to their capabilities. The scope includes up to 5 Legislative Compliance Assessments (LCAs) during the contract term, providing additional work opportunities. Businesses proficient in sustainable and safety management systems with operational readiness to manage travel requirements will be especially competitive in this procurement process.

## Notice

British Forces Cyprus (BFC) are seeking a third-party contractor capable of sustaining and continuing to update the existing Acquisition Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ASEMS) document set. The proposed contract will be for 5 years, to commence on 01 January 2025, expiring on 31 December 2029. The scope of the contract covers ASEMS provision and maintenance for the white (civilian) fleet vehicles at BFC only. Military vehicles, maritime vessels, aircraft, or other such vehicles as may be present on-island are not included in the scope of this contract. It is important that the contractor is willing and able to work with the existing document set and perform annual reviews (in person, on-island) and attend quarterly progress-based meetings which may be virtually or on-island (as needed). The contract also includes a requirement for up to 5 Legislative Compliance Assessments (LCAs) and BFC may request these at any point during the 5-year contract. BFC is located on the island of Cyprus and the successful contractor will need to travel to the island to deliver some of the contract services. Travel arrangements are addressed in more detail in the ITT documents. ITT documents are available for download from the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) eSoucing portal, the link to which is below: www.contracts.mod.uk
