## Summary

The Royal Surrey Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is currently managing a tender for the "St Luke's Cancer Centre Development" project, located in Guildford, Surrey. This initiative falls under the industry category of building construction work, specifically for health-related facilities. The procurement process is in the Tender stage, with a submission deadline set for 24 November 2021. This project involves both the extension and refurbishment of the existing two-storey building, which accommodates cancer treatment facilities. The construction period is scheduled to commence on 2 May 2022 and is expected to conclude by 1 May 2023, following a selective procurement method under a restricted procedure due to its scale and complexity.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in construction, particularly those experienced in healthcare projects involving multi-functional building work. Contractors with capabilities in managing complex refurbishment while maintaining operational services in clinical environments will find this project appealing. Additionally, businesses that provide bespoke solutions for improving patient flow and experience in medical facilities are well-suited to compete for contracts associated with this development. Engaging in this procurement could enable firms to expand their portfolios and establish long-term relationships with the NHS, a key player in the UK public sector.
