The programme is one of a range of initiatives to boost teacher supply in priority subjects. Aimed at high quality subject experts, who might not have otherwise considered teaching a viable career option, scholarships are awarded to the most gifted teacher trainees in physics, maths, chemistry, computing, modern foreign languages or geography. Scholars receive a tax-free bursary and wraparound support during their teacher-training year. We want insights on the market offer to enable scholars to become the next generation of outstanding teachers and use their enhanced subject knowledge/skills during a successful teaching career. Please note that this Notice is not a call to competition and the DfE is not bound to enter into any procurement activity because of it.
