The overarching objectives of this work are to help keep people safe, prevent re-victimisation, enable them to cope with the immediate impact of a crime or abuse and to recover from the longer-term legacy of the experience. The successful Bidder will be required to provide the Service which includes the individual assessment of needs and risk for people affected by crime and some types of abuse, as well as provision of emotional and practical support; support with the criminal justice process and advocacy, including IDVA and ISVA support. The Service will also provide a 'pathway' to accessing services which people affected by crime and abuse need, minimising the number of individuals and agencies they have contact with before finding the right support and reducing the need to repeat their story.
