The position offers a pay rate of £21.13 per hour for 37 hours per week, based at Sandwell Council House in Oldbury. The procurement process is currently at the tender stage, with an open procedure being utilised. The successful supplier will gain exposure to diverse legal issues, engaging closely with clients in a demanding but rewarding environment. ## Notice We are looking for 1 Solicitor to work within the Children's area of legal. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience specialising in and handling Public law child care mailers preferably from a local authority prospective. Candidates must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of Public Law childcare matters. You must be a confident advocate as there will be an expectation for you to cover various types of hearings to include those of a contested nature. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied caseload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact. The rate of pay will be Band H PS21.13 per hour PAYE. The role is 37 hours and based at Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE.
