## Summary

The NHS Sheffield CCG is currently seeking tenders for the "Roving Night Service", aimed at enhancing community health services within the East Midlands region. This tender is at the planning stage, with a deadline for submissions set for 15th February 2021. The contract will run for three years from 1st April 2021, with the possibility of a two-year extension, and has an approximate annual value of £165,000. The procurement method used is an open procedure, indicating a competitive selection process is in place to ensure transparency and fairness.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in health and social care services. Companies capable of providing flexible and responsive night care solutions for vulnerable individuals, especially those with experience in integrating health and social care, would be ideally positioned to compete for this contract. Engaging in this procurement process could allow businesses to expand their service offerings and establish a foothold in the growing community-based health sector.

## Notice

More people in Bassetlaw are being supported to live at home for longer, as demonstrated by a 33% reduction in care home admissions from 2015 to 2018. While this is a positive outcome, an ageing population and other demographic pressures have increased the demand for community-based health and social care services. Night care continues to play a vital role in ensuring people are able to remain independent, safe and well in their own homes.
