## Summary

The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) has initiated an open tender process for the provision of veterinary pharmaceuticals and associated products, aiming to enhance its network of Pet Hospitals and operational sites across the United Kingdom. This procurement process is under the 'Veterinary services' category, with a contract value estimated at £38,000,000. The process is currently at the 'Tender' stage, initiated in early June 2026, with an end date for expressions of interest set for 17th June 2026. The contract period is expected to last from 1st January 2027 to 31st December 2031. The initiative is particularly geared towards small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing an open procedure for interested parties to participate in this significant national endeavour.

This tender presents substantial growth prospects for businesses involved in the manufacture, supply, and distribution of veterinary pharmaceuticals, especially those with a proven track record of operating within regulated UK supply environments. Organisations possessing suitable regulatory authorisations, such as VMD licences, and experience in managing pharmaceutical supply chains will be well-suited to compete. Suppliers are sought to contribute to PDSA's mission, which encompasses stringent governance, quality assurance, and compliance. Firms that can demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, ethics, and collaborative supplier relationships will find this tender aligns well with PDSA's operational values. Engaging in this process could substantially bolster a company's presence in the national veterinary services market.
