## Summary

The public procurement process is being conducted by Merseytravel, which is seeking to secure an Options Appraisal and Business Case for an Alternate Service Delivery Model for Bus. This tender is categorised under architectural, construction, engineering, and inspection services and is located in the North West region of the United Kingdom. The procurement is currently in the active tender stage, which commenced on 28th November 2016 after the call-off from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority's Legal Services Framework Agreement. The tender period ended on 17th October 2016, and the contract is expected to run until 27th May 2018 with an initial commission amounting to £500,000.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in engineering consultancy, especially those experienced in developing strategic assessments and business cases in the public transport sector. Companies capable of providing detailed evaluations of different service delivery models, including partnerships and franchising, would be well-suited to compete. Given the focus on compliance with the Bus Bill and associated guidelines, firms with expertise in public sector advisory services would also find this tender aligned with their capabilities, thus fostering potential business growth.
