About the Opportunity: The MPS has developed a number of applications, including and enterprise service bus, in vehicle applications and various integration services. These applications are currently managed by the teams that developed the applications. Applications are transitioning into support. The structure, processes and resources within the existing teams needs to meet the ongoing support requirement. The existing applications and services need to be supported during transition to the live services and ongoing support is required. At the same time the support of the application maintenance and support of all applications needs to be formalised, maintained and supported. REQUIREMENT: * Project manage IVMA tablet refresh, swap 100 Dell tablets per month for Panasonic tablets, make sure there are sufficient Panasonic tablets and ancillary equipment available for this refresh. * Mange the software changes required to make IVMA tablets Section 109 compliant. * Hold monthly Section 109 workshops with the business to make sure they are fully informed and engaged in the proactive work being undertaken to make IVMA tablets Section 109 compliant. * Hold monthly service reviews to ensure In House Support team KPI's are met or exceeded. * Reduce the number of incidents each month by undertaking and driving through CSI initiatives. * Test and deploy new Splunk environment. * Support the business engagement to devise a complete Splunk auditing service for DPS. * Liaise with NCA to share data and provide consultancy for their Splunk security / audit environment. * Test and deploy Section 109 remediation before October 2020. * Test the BC/DR plan monthly whilst refining and updating. * Service delivery experience supporting teams of in excess of ten people delivering on-going operations support for mission critical applications. * ITIL accredited. * Service delivery experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party services. * Experience of Enterprise Service Architecture and Service Design experience. * Project management experience, ideally with Prince2 accreditation. * Overseeing resourcing scheduled for the support function to improve utilisation and enable cost reductions for live services. * Understanding and delivery of service level requirements. the procurement decision will be based on experience, cost and delivery time. please e-mail your responses to ayo.alfonso@met.police.uk https://www.met.police.uk (In House Support)
