## Summary

The Competition and Markets Authority is seeking to transition from its on-premises SharePoint 2013 system to SharePoint Online as part of a migration project aimed at enhancing user experience. This tender, titled "Sharepoint Online" and classified under the category of license management software package (CPV 48218000), was awarded on 11 December 2018 for a total value of £445,280. It commenced on 14 December 2018 and concluded on 29 March 2019. The procurement method used was selective and involved a call-off from an existing framework agreement, with the final tender period closing on 29 November 2018.

This procurement opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialised in cloud services, particularly those with expertise in SharePoint migration, custom software integrations, and Office 365 capabilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to engage, as they may fulfil the suitability criteria for this award. The emphasis on user experience improvements and new feature integration suggests that competitors with innovative approaches to enhancing document management and workflow solutions will be particularly well-positioned to expand their business through this government contract.

## Notice

CMA have an on premises SharePoint 2013 system which supports the main CMA business activity by providing document storage for all case files and general content for other departments (EDRM). It also provides the platform for the intranet and automation of several business processes via a third-party workflow and forms product called Nintex and some InfoPath forms. CMA intend to migrate to the cloud version of SharePoint Online (Office 365) and would like at the same time to use the migration exercise as an opportunity to improve the system and user experience. This will involve simplifying where possible, fulfilling any new requirements, considering best practice, the use of the new features of Office 365 including Planner and Flow, and replacing the InfoPath forms.
