As well as the day to day management of a team of experienced Major Project Managers the role is responsible for giving strategic oversight across all Major Projects being delivered by the team. The role is responsible for: o Establishing and managing a Competent Client function in accordance with CDM (2015) Regulations. o managing the relationship with key internal and external stakeholders such as Urban Design, Principal Designers and Principal Contractors. o Establishing and managing all appropriate documentation required to gain approval and then manage all major projects. o Monitoring and developing best practice within the team though tracking best practice outside of Sandwell. o Ensuring all relevant papers are developed for approval. o Ensuring all ongoing documentation is produced, obtained and stored where required and ensures all procurement and legislative requirements are met. o Managing all budgets associated with the areas of responsibility and monitors and reports any variations to budget and takes corrective action where required. Experience and qualifications required A relevant qualification in Major Projects Delivery Management or relevant industry experience; along with relevant experience in managing and running a team of surveyors, managing the delivery of significant regeneration and refurbishment projects within a Social Housing Landlord Function.
