## Summary

The East London NHS Foundation Trust is initiating a procurement process for the tender titled "Counselling and Interventions for Women from South Asian and Minority Ethnic Groups." This service focuses on providing individual and group counselling to women affected by emotional and physical abuse, with an emphasis on culturally sensitive interventions. The process is currently in the planning stage, with a key engagement deadline set for 14th February 2020. The services are expected to be delivered primarily in London, with a total budget of £100,000 under the counselling services category (CPV code 85312320).

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in counselling and mental health services, particularly those with experience in providing support to diverse communities. Companies that can demonstrate their capability to deliver high-quality, culturally appropriate psychological interventions would be especially well-suited to compete for this contract. There is a particular emphasis on organisations that have a proven track record of integrating their services within existing frameworks, such as the IAPT service, which could be beneficial for SMEs looking to expand their service offerings in this critical area.

## Notice

The service will provide individual brief counselling (up to 12 sessions) and group interventions to women from South Asian and Minority Ethnic (BME) background experiencing and affected by emotional, physical, psychological and sexual abuse and exploitation. The service will liaise with other agencies to manage safeguarding concerns, and ensure Service Users are supported if in need of refuge. The interventions will be delivered directly in the community by suitably qualified bilingual counsellors in major languages spoken by our local population. The provider will operate as an integral part of the IAPT service and adhere to its performance, operational, and safeguarding standards. Additional information: How do you demonstrate your capability and capacity to offer high quality and culturally sensitive psychological interventions to female Service Users from BAME backgrounds who are experiencing and affected by emotional, physical, psychological and sexual abuse and exploitation? We would particularly like to hear the success of your organisation's experience and strategies in delivering these interventions as an integral part of an IAPT service. How do your interventions adhere to the service's clinical framework and Key Performance Indicators. Please limit your response to 400 words.
