## Summary

The NHS England is planning a procurement process titled "PIN - NHS Violence Reduction Academy Evidence Building and Information Gathering" in the health services industry category. The process involves engaging an academic partner to review current services and interventions, providing evidence of best practice for health and care professionals. One key milestone is the engagement end date set for 12th December 2022.

This tender presents an opportunity for academic institutions and research services to contribute to evidence-building efforts for violence reduction programmes in London. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations can also participate in this planning stage to potentially secure future business opportunities within the NHS London Violence Reduction Programme. Interested parties are invited to join a Market Engagement Event on 12th December to learn more about the project and explore collaboration possibilities.

## Notice

The Violence Reduction Academy will be a key delivery vehicle of the NHS London Violence Reduction programme. The Academy aims to share learning of evidence-based models of health and social care, supporting implementation across the capital and sharing the latest research. The NHS London Violence Reduction Programme is pleased to announce our plans to launch a Violence Reduction Academy. The purpose of London Violence Reduction Programme is to lead the way in shaping how the NHS can support violence reduction and improve wellbeing in our communities at a population and individual level. The programme achieves this by: * Developing a shared understanding of violence reduction; * Building a movement within health and care that listens to young people; co-creating approaches that improve wellbeing and reduces health inequalities; * Developing an evidence base that demonstrates the impact of violence reduction programmes for young people, their families and the communities they live in; * Working in partnership across systems to develop and implement preventative approaches to reducing violence. The programme comprises of a number of London-wide projects designed to deliver change, and are well placed to bring young people, their families, NHS, local authorities and other key stakeholders together to implement violence reduction models across London. The Violence Reduction Academy will be a key delivery vehicle of the NHS London Violence Reduction programme. The Academy aims to gather learning of evidence-based models of health and social care, supporting implementation across the capital and sharing the best education and research. A key enabler to the success of the Academy is recognising existing areas of good practice and encouraging collaboration across system partners. To support us with evidence building and information gathering, we intend to fund an academic partner to undertake a wide-ranging review of current services and interventions and to provide evidence of best practice (and challenges) in clear and easily accessible formats for health and care professionals. We will be asking the partner to recruit and host Research Fellows (x2 0.5 WTE) and an Academic Supervisor (0.1 WTE) to deliver this work. We would like to extend an invitation for you and interested partners to join us at the VR Academy's Market Engagement Event taking place on 12 December from 11am - 12:30pm. The aim of the event is to provide further information on our ambitions, generate interest in the project and answer queries from interested organisations. If you are interested in joining the event, please contact a.masha@nhs.net for the MS Team link and guidance. Registration for this event must be confirmed by 12pm, 11th December.
