## Summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking quotations for the "Hillingdon Station Cycle Parking" project, aimed at enhancing the current inadequate cycle parking facilities at Hillingdon Underground Station. This initiative falls under the "works" category, specifically targeting the installation of bicycle parts and accessories. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, with the tender period set to end on 21 December 2016. The contract is anticipated to commence on 31 January 2017 and will run for one year, concluding on 31 January 2018. The project is located in London, United Kingdom, and has a budget of £5,000.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in the installation of street furniture and bicycle-related infrastructure. Companies with relevant experience and the capability to deliver secure and efficient cycle parking solutions will be well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this project can help businesses expand their portfolios and contribute to improving local transport infrastructure, aligning with the growing emphasis on sustainable commuting options.

## Notice

The existing cycle parking facilities at the entrance to the Hillingdon Underground Station are limited in number and will not satisfy the projected increase in demand from users in the coming years. There is also a concern, reflecting the national increase in incidents of bicycle theft, as to the security provided by the existing facilities. The London Borough of Hillingdon is aware of these issues and proposes to provide the maximum possible parking facilities in a phased manner as well as the best possible security by the installation of sheltered double tier cycle racks and BTP CaMden type stands. The map attached shows the location of the proposed facilities. In order to deliver these improvements for residents and other users, the Council invites quotations for these works from organisations with appropriate experience, capabilities and financial standing based upon the following technical requirements. The Council seeks to maximise the parking facilities for the available space subject always to best practice and the requirements set out by Transport for London and seeks recommendations from those organisations responding to its RFQ. ****Please register/log in at www.capitalesourcing.com to view all tender information/documents**** Any questions about this procurement should be submitted in writing via the capitalEsourcing Portal.
