## Summary

The Countess of Chester Hospital is inviting tenders for a National Framework Agreement focused on Smart Buildings Solutions using the Internet of Things. This initiative aims to enhance energy management through advanced sensory networks, primarily for commercial buildings across the UK. The procurement is currently at the award stage, following the announcement published on 2nd September 2021. The total value of the contract is set at £10 million, with an open procurement method allowing suppliers to participate. The contract period will commence on 20th July 2021 and extend to 19th July 2027, with the tender period concluding on 7th June 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in energy management services and energy-efficiency consultancy. Companies that specialise in IoT solutions, provide installation services for sensory networks, or offer cloud-based data analytics are particularly well-suited to compete in this procurement process. The framework is designed for collaboration among various authorities, creating a platform for innovation and efficiency improvements across commercial estates.

## Notice

The Smart Buildings Solutions using the Internet of Things framework agreement will provide authorities with the means to enable intelligent commercial buildings. Solutions primarily involve the installation of a sensory network that is connected via wireless internet to cloud based data analytics, which enables monitoring and control of energy usage, building occupancy and visibility of assets. The solution can be composed of several modular components which all work simultaneously to create a platform for the management of buildings, and in turn driving efficiencies across estates.
