## Summary

The procurement process initiated by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is currently in the planning stage, offering an opportunity titled "LAMP testing (Loop-mediated isothermal amplification)" in the chemical reagents industry. The procurement aims to secure assays for DPYD, CYP2C19, and HFE testing, crucial for clinical use, in the North West region of the United Kingdom. The process is marked by an engagement end date on 26th August 2026, and potential suppliers are expected to register their interest via the Atamis e-sourcing portal. The procurement has an estimated contract value of £230,000 and is intended for goods supply.

This tender presents a strategic opportunity for businesses specialising in the development and supply of chemical reagents, particularly those familiar with genomic testing and assay production. Suitable contenders include firms that can provide CE marked assays with demonstrated capabilities in analytical sensitivity and specificity, ensuring high precision in results. Given the technical expectations, companies possessing robust validation processes for variant detection and a capacity to manage significant sample volumes annually would be well-positioned to compete. This opportunity is particularly optimal for enterprises capable of delivering solutions within the high standards demanded by UKAS 15189 accreditation.

## Notice

Procurement of LAMP (Loop-mediated isothermal amplification) assay for DPYD, CYP2C19 and HFE testing. Additional information: The bidder must be able to provide an assay which detects the variants for DPYD, CYP2C19 and HFE as stated on the national genomics test directory. Please note: due to the laboratory's UKAS 15189; 2022 accreditation we require any kits to be CE marked. The assay must be ready for clinical use. The bidder must provide full details of the validation of this solution used to determine the values provided for analytical sensitivity and specificity for detection of nucleotide changes included in each assay. Analytical sensitivity and specificity should be 100%. The assay should produce results that are repeatable, with concordant results for samples replicated within runs. The assay should demonstrate reproducibility, where typical test-to-test variability does not impact the result. Concordant results should be achieved for samples replicated across runs. The assay must be validated to detect variants, with a need to differentiate between wild type and mutant alleles, and can therefore detect homozygous wildtype, heterozygous mutant and homozygous mutant genotypes. The technical failure rate should be
