## Summary

WWF-UK (World Wide Fund for Nature) Trading Limited is conducting a tender for a consultancy research opportunity titled "Sustainable Fisheries Monitoring." This project falls under the marine research services category and is located in the United Kingdom. The procurement process is currently in the active tender stage, with applications due by 17:00 on 3 June 2019. Successful submissions will provide a comprehensive report on best practices for Remote Electronic Monitoring systems in fisheries, with the contract commencing on 21 June 2019 and concluding on 31 October 2019. The tender is being held under an open procurement method, considered to be below threshold.

This opportunity presents a significant chance for consultancy firms and individuals with expertise in environmental policy, fisheries management, and technology integration to engage with WWF. Businesses well-suited to compete include SMEs and voluntary and community sector organisations that can demonstrate relevant skills and experience in research and report compilation. Participants will be expected to showcase their capabilities through previous work examples and a detailed methodology for addressing the tender's objectives.

## Notice

WWF views Remote Electronic Monitoring with cameras and gear sensors (hereafter referred to as REM) as a technological development with the potential to greatly enhance the ability for fisheries and governments around the world to improve their data collection, monitoring, accountability and minimise the risk of IUU in both artisanal and industrial fisheries. WWF is seeking to commission a suitably experienced consulting firm or individual to research and compile a report that identifies what best practice looks like (in different scenarios), outlines what the key steps are that are required to set in place an effective REM system and where at different levels - global, regional and national - advocacy efforts will be best directed. More information about the objectives, suggested methodology and deliverables are described in the attached terms of reference. To express interest in this opportunity, applications should be submitted to include the following elements: * A letter (maximum 2 pages A4) expressing interest and demonstrating the relevant skills and experience. * A short method statement (maximum 2 pages A4) detailing the approach and method that shall be used to deliver the Terms of Reference. * A table indicating how the available budget would be allocated with respect to different milestones and tasks associated with the report. * A up-to-date CV (or similar) for individuals to be involved in delivery. * A maximum of 3 examples of past work, demonstrating relevant skills. Please send applications by email to Helen McLachlan (Programme Manager - Fisheries, Environmental Policy and Advocacy) hmclachlan@wwf.org.uk by 17:00 on 3 June 2019 . Additional information: Please send applications by email to Helen McLachlan (Programme Manager - Fisheries, Environmental Policy and Advocacy) hmclachlan@wwf.org.uk by 17:00 on 3 June 2019 .
