The Wellcome Wing was completed in 2000 to showcase contemporary science whilst the Atmosphere gallery was created in collaboration with Casson Mann in 2010 to explain climate change via extensive and highly integrated digital media, which has been seen by more than 5,000,000 visitors. The story of climate science has now dramatically moved on, as has the digital technology that the gallery was founded upon. We have an exciting opportunity to tell this urgent story in a way that reflects the museum's award-winning visitor experience as well as its ambitious journey towards Net Zero by 2033.
