## Summary

Cherwell District Council is currently in the tender stage of a procurement process for the supply of a mobile application aimed at supporting the safe reopening of high streets. The tender, titled "The Supply of an 'App' to Support the Reopening of High Streets Safely," is classified under Information Technology Services and is valued at £35,000. The deadline for submissions is set for 1 February 2021, with the contract period commencing on 22 February 2021 and concluding on 22 February 2022. This project is part of the Reopening High Streets Safely Fund, which is funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and aims to enhance consumer safety in the retail and hospitality sectors within the Cherwell district, located in South East England.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to compete for a contract that focuses on the development of technology solutions. Companies with expertise in app development, user experience design, and providing digital safety solutions for consumers would be particularly well-suited to participate. The successful implementation of this app could contribute not only to increased business visibility in a recovering market but also to a stronger community presence as high streets become safer and more accessible for shoppers.
