## Summary

The procurement process is being managed by Procurement Lincolnshire for the CCTV Upgrade project, which falls under the security equipment industry category. The contract is valued at £300,000 and is located in the East Midlands, UK. Currently in the Tender stage, the submission deadline for bids is set for 14th January 2016. The contract is expected to commence on 28th March 2016 and will last for an initial period of seven years, with the possibility of extending for an additional four years. This procedure follows a selective, or restricted procurement method, aiming to modernise and improve the existing CCTV infrastructure.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those involved in security systems and technology, to expand their service offerings. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to apply, as the buying organisation has indicated that the contract may be suitable for them. Companies specialising in advanced surveillance equipment or innovative technological solutions would be particularly well-suited to compete and collaborate with Procurement Lincolnshire to enhance the Council's CCTV capabilities for better coverage and operational efficiency.

## Notice

NOTE: This notice was updated on 15 December 2015 for the following reason: Text to be corrected in the original notice: Place of text to be modified: II.1.5 Instead of: original text Read: The Council's CCTV system currently uses 119 analogue cameras, most of which transfer data by way of fibre optics. An additional 37 use wireless technology. The system operates 24/7 and is generally single staffed (double staffed for busier shifts). The cameras cover public areas and council properties, and some are monitored for third party customers. Recording is by way of digital hard drives. The control room is based within City Hall. The CCTV infrastructure is, in many cases, dated, and in recognition of this, and the fact that camera and analytic technology has moved on significantly in recent years, with more advances in the pipeline, the decision has been taken to upgrade the system, and to take the opportunity to review and improve coverage where possible. Creative, innovative solutions are sought, to modernise and future-proof the equipment and technology used, to make savings on running costs and to maximise income opportunities. The successful contractor will be required to design and develop the scheme, working alongside the Council. The contract is expected to include essential deliverables and optional extras, subject to funding and business case / payback period. The Contract will be let for an initial period of seven years, intended to commence on 1st April 2016, with an estimated 'go-live' of the new system and maintenance contract on 1st August 2016.
