All the school buildings are contained within the boundaries of one site in the centre of the Highwoods development in the centre of Colchester. The school has many excellent facilities including a new sports hall to add to the existing one, gym, a Performing Arts block, as well as well-maintained other school buildings. The Gilberd prides itself in providing an excellent environment for students that is conducive to enhanced teaching and learning.
