## Summary

The Sea Fish Industry Authority has recently concluded the procurement process for the "Levy System Database Project," which falls under the software package and information systems category. The procurement was carried out using a selective method, specifically a negotiated procedure, with a total contract value of £74,000. The tender process, which officially ended on 30th September 2016, aims to enhance the functionality of the levy system for managing the collection of levies and financial information. The work is set to be executed primarily in Yorkshire and the Humber, and Scotland, with the contract period running from 18th October 2016 to 31st January 2017.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in software development and IT services, particularly those with experience in designing database systems. Companies capable of providing ongoing support and training for their software solutions will be particularly well-suited to compete for similar future contracts. By leveraging their expertise in fulfilling the requirements outlined in the Levy System Requirements Document, these businesses could not only secure this contract but also position themselves for additional projects within the public sector.

## Notice

The overall aim of the project is to provide Seafish with a workable levy system allowing Seafish's levy team to manage the collection of levies and to provide the key financial information for the finance team. Whilst ensuring the functionality of the previous system is preserved, Seafish would like the new system to provide enhanced capabilities and meet the key technical objectives and expectations as laid out in section 3 of the Levy System Requirements Document. The scope of the project will include: - Understanding and fulfilment of the Levy System Requirements Document - Extensive requirements gathering in preparation of finalising system scope - Identifying and finding solutions for requirements of the Levy System Requirements Document , and potentially, over and above the stated requirements - Be compatible with existing Seafish IT infrastructure as specified in Levy System Requirements Document - Identify and install the core product - Produce user training materials
