## Summary

The Ministry of Defence, Air Support, C17 Command Support and Airborne Equipment Project Team (CSAE PT) is initiating a tender titled "Future Procurement Strategy for Support to RAF Command Support Fixed Wing Aircraft". This project, falling under the services industry, aims to procure support for four BAe 146 Aircraft based at RAF Northolt. The active procurement, currently in the planning stage, will issue a Contract Notice and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire in the second quarter of 2016, followed by the Invitation to Tender in the third quarter. The contract is expected to commence on 1st April 2017 and will run until 31st March 2022, with potential extensions available. The total contract value is projected to be around £100 million, with a minimum value of £20 million.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in aircraft engineering, maintenance, and associated services, particularly those capable of providing personnel and engineering support for military transport aircraft. Given the substantial engineering support and maintenance requirements detailed in the contract strategy, firms that can offer innovative solutions in aircraft repair and engine reconditioning, alongside the availability of skilled personnel, will be well-positioned to compete. This is an excellent opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in aerospace services to expand their market presence and collaborate with the defence sector.
