## Summary

The Home Office, through the Neighbourhood Crime Unit, is conducting the Safer Streets Fund Round 3 procurement process, offering up to £25 million in grant funding aimed at improving public safety in England and Wales. The tender is currently in the planning stage, with a submission deadline set for 15 July 2021. The funding will support Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) and local authorities to implement interventions focused particularly on addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in identified concern areas. Bidders must register on the Home Office Jaggaer eSourcing portal to participate in this open competition, which will run throughout the 2021-22 financial year, with all allocations required to be utilised by 31 March 2022.

This procurement presents significant growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and service providers, particularly those involved in community safety, civic improvement, and public space enhancement. Companies with expertise in implementing crime prevention initiatives and community-based interventions would be particularly well-positioned to compete for this funding. By participating in this tender, businesses can not only increase their project portfolios but also contribute to making communities safer, aligning with the government’s strategic priorities in public safety and community wellbeing.

## Notice

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (the "Authority"), acting through the Neighbourhood Crime Unit, intends to make an amount up to PS25,000,000 of grant funding available. The British Transport Police are also eligible to bid for funding. This funding will be granted during 2021-22 financial year and all allocations must be spent by 31 March 2022. The Funding is to be awarded through a fair, open and transparent competition by means of a Call for Proposals and will support bidders to invest in interventions to improve the safety of public spaces for all, with a particular focus on reducing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) crime types in areas of concern.
