The aim is to continue to standardise the core list for office furniture throughout the life of the contract. Standardisation will support the University's aims to reduce its environmental impact and ensure health, safety and welfare for staff and students. The University of Essex has a target of 2035 to achieve net zero emissions. Suppliers will be expected to support the University with this aim through multiple means and innovations.
