## Summary

The procurement process is being carried out by Historic England for the tender titled "Taylor Review Pilot Training Workshops for those responsible for places of worship." This project is categorized under the education and training services industry and will take place primarily in the Manchester and Suffolk regions. The tender is currently in the active phase, with submissions closing on 2nd July 2018. The contract will commence on 3rd July 2018 and is set to run until 31st March 2020, utilising an open procurement method.

This tender provides significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in training services, community engagement, and support for places of worship. Companies with experience in delivering educational workshops, especially those focusing on community collaborations and sustainable practices, will find this tender particularly relevant. Additionally, businesses that can demonstrate innovative approaches to community learning and have a capacity to work within the specified pilot areas may benefit from collaborating with other organisations to submit joint bids.

## Notice

This project is part of the Pilot scheme recommended by the Taylor Review to run in Manchester and Suffolk. It will create and deliver a series of workshops to offer training and support to communities and volunteers in the areas involved in the Pilot scheme. These workshops will be free for attendees. The workshops will have three main functions: o to build confidence so that those with responsibility for places of worship feel able to undertake basic regular maintenance; o to encourage faith groups to engage with the wider community to build mutually beneficial partnerships; o to highlight potential sources of funding to support both activities. The workshops are intended to increase the number of people who can benefit from the Pilot, providing an additional resource to reinforce and extend the work being done by the Community Development Advisers in Manchester and Suffolk and the Fabric Support Officers in Manchester and Suffolk appointed as part of the Pilot. The workshops will operate at a local level in the Pilot areas throughout the Pilot. One contract will cover both pilot areas and as we will be looking for innovative approaches to community learning and the workshops (as set out in the section below on Methods and Scope, 1.3.4), it is possible for multiple groups to submit a joint bid for this contract. Such a grouping might be based around geographical locations or combined experience with fabric and community engagement work). The scheme will run from September 2018 until March 2020.
