## Summary

The Merseyside Police - Procurement Department is seeking tenders for the project titled "Reactive and Planned Maintenance - ELECTRICAL", which aims to establish a maintenance framework for electrical services valued between £1.8 million and £3 million. This procurement process is currently at the Tender stage, with submissions due by 12:00 PM on 7th October 2021. The contract will commence on 4th April 2022 and is set to run for five years, ending on 4th April 2027. The procurement method employed is selective, specifically a restricted procedure, and services will be delivered in the North West of the United Kingdom, focusing on repair and maintenance services in the electrical sector.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical maintenance and repair services, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of providing both reactive and pro-active maintenance solutions. Companies with the capacity to handle comprehensive service requirements, including out-of-hours provision and performance within new and existing building environments, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Engaging in this procurement could facilitate business growth by establishing long-term partnerships with a major public sector organisation committed to modernising its maintenance frameworks.

## Notice

This opportunity is part of a wider model to renew the current maintenance framework. The other services available are Building Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance. (See Bluelight for further details) NOTE: In order for the Force to maintain an element of resilience in the event of service failure, the maximum any interested party can be awarded is two out of these three available contracts. A single company is to be selected to provide maintenance services for the following, which will be managed by the Corporate Assets Department of Merseyside Police: Electrical works. Scope: - - Reactive repairs, responding to faults and breakdowns, this service is to be inclusive of an out-of-hours provision. - Pro-active servicing of elements and systems, to a pre-determined priced schedule in order to ensure safe and efficient building use and minimise the need for reactive repairs. Merseyside Police are currently progressing an Estate Strategy program, rationalising its properties to better suit modern policing requirements. The service required of this framework will include new build and refurbished buildings, as well as long-standing existing buildings.
