## Summary

Durham County Council is planning a significant public procurement process for the "Horden Masterplan Joint Venture," focused on addressing long-standing housing issues in Horden, North East, United Kingdom. The project involves the remodelling, purchase, and/or demolition of existing properties, aiming to provide new housing options and regenerate the area. Classified under the construction industry (CPV 45000000), the procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a total budget of £20,000,000 for the period starting from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026. The contract period will run from 31st January 2025 to 30th January 2030. The procurement method will be selective, using a competitive procedure with negotiation, and interested parties must express their interest via the NEPO portal by 14th October 2024.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses, particularly those experienced in construction and urban development projects. Large construction companies and joint venture enterprises are well-suited to compete in this tender, given the project's complexity and scale. Businesses involved in residential property development, urban regeneration, and community revitalisation will find this a particularly fitting opportunity to expand their portfolios and contribute to notable social impact initiatives. This collaboration with Durham County Council could offer sustained work over several years and solidify a firm's reputation in the public sector.
