## Summary

This procurement process, initiated by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), is focused on the provision of software for the Digitalisation of Jury Bundles. The tender is categorised under CPV code 48000000 for software packages and information systems, in addition to codes for IT services and software support services. It invites potential bidders to provide solutions within England and Wales and extends to other locations including British Overseas Territories and Europe. The tender, currently in the amendment stage, was published on 23rd September 2024, and has bidding available until 17th October 2024. The one-year contract will commence on 20th December 2024 with optional extensions for up to three further 12-month durations.

This procurement represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in software development, IT services, and digital solutions, particularly those with capabilities in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. The tender seeks to implement a digital solution for jury bundles to enhance efficiency in Crown Court trials. SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to participate, as their expertise in software implementation and incident support will be instrumental during the pilot phase, which will incrementally scale from 1000 users to a potential 30,000 users nationwide. This tender will provide growth opportunities through the design, implementation, training, and evaluation of the software solution, fostering long-term collaborations with CPS and expanding market presence.
