The aim of the research is to acquire insight on what both companies and investors consider to be the characteristics of a potential high growth or scale up company (beyond the OECD definition) and what they believe are the biggest challenges holding such companies back, particularly in terms of connecting with global markets and investment. This insight should then been turned into a package of content with high impact to position Innovate UK in a thought leadership position that will benefit its stakeholders and attract new customers. Objectives * Original contribution to the debate about investment and growth in innovative companies that will benefit UK Plc. * Deep engagement with leading individuals and organisations in the investment industry in the UK and overseas * Thought leadership position for Innovate UK on a new base of evidence that will benefit stakeholders and UK R&D * Generation of PR opportunities that benefit industry and investors and government * Extension of brand awareness of Innovate UK to new UK and global audiences * An 'evergreen' content asset that can be used for the next 12 to 24 months.
