PHE is seeking to commission an external partner to undertake qualitative research with local authorities and partners, including the NHS, and national stakeholders to explore: 1. how the process, tools and resources that have been developed through the Whole Systems Approach to Obesity programme can work with the Place Based Approach for Reducing Health Inequalities framework to provide a joined-up approach for local places on obesity and inequalities 2. what is needed to support local places to implement this. 3. whether a joined-up approach for obesity and inequalities, explored in phase one, can be adapted to address other public health issues.
