## Summary

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is currently in the planning stage of a tender process for a Script Management Solution, designated as an RFI (Request for Information). This procurement aims to identify a suitable cloud-based scripting and scheduling tool for production activities, following the discontinuation of Adobe Story. Interested parties need to register on the BravoSolution e-Tendering portal before 16 September 2019, to engage with this opportunity. This project falls under the CPV classification for radio, television, communication, telecommunication, and related equipment, and encompasses several delivery locations including the United Kingdom and the British Overseas Territories.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the technology and media industries, particularly those specialising in software development for cloud-based applications and integration tools. Companies that can provide innovative solutions for script management, scheduling, and production support, especially those with expertise in creating user-friendly interfaces and functionalities as outlined by the BBC's requirements, would be well-suited to respond. Engaging with this process could lead to substantial business growth, given the prominence and demand for high-quality production tools within the media sector.

## Notice

The BBC are looking for a scripting and scheduling tool for productions across the organisation. This need for this solution arose out of the discontinuation of Adobe Story from the market by Adobe Systems Inc., leaving many of our productions with a need for a replacement scripting & scheduling tool. The ideal solution will be a cloud based replacement system for the management of script scheduling, filming and location information. The solution should be able to integrate with Final Draft and MS Word. The high level requirements in part C have been summarised below. The system should provide the following functionalities: - Camera Scripting (multi camera)/music Scripts - Ability to create camera cards - Reporting for costume, props, makeup continuity Scene Scheduling - people, sets, scene (calendar/planning) - Cast & Crew names & contact details (email for distribution of docs) - Ability to create call sheets and unit lists - Auto watermarking - Ability to create sides (talent specific scripts) - Integration with Final Draft - Live schedule tracking - status updates, reasons for overrun etc. - Post production scripting - Cloud storage including managing permissions & sharing - Script management including track changes & permission management - Ability to create running orders - Ability to create story orders (report off script) - APIs This RFI is intended only to elicit information and inform the BBC's future strategy. Responders to this RFI should note that no concessions, contracts or other arrangements will be awarded pursuant to this RFI. Responding, or not responding, to this RFI will neither increase nor decrease any provider's chances of being awarded a contract from any subsequent ITT.
