The works will take place in two phases. Phase one will take place during October 2020 with a total of approximately 2676 metres of rail line removed for disposal and Phase two taking place in early 2021 with a total of approximately 3000 metres of rail line removed for disposal. The total expected weight of rail lines is anticipated to be around 567 tonnes (excluding sundries such as cast iron cleats and shoes). The Council is seeking offers from Contractors for purchase of the scrap rail lines.
