The competitions are required to provide a platform to showcase artistic outputs and views on this subject, with the main objective being to raise awareness on what can be done to combat the issues caused by marine litter by challenging Sri Lanka population to present images and ideas that can inspire behaviour changes. Entries should show the impacts and effects of marine litter on humans and the environment in Sri Lanka or possible solutions and best practices (including reduction, reuse, re-design or recycling of potential marine litter items). The competitions are required to reach participants in the following categories: - Artists to produce photography and video entries divided in three ages categories: young (suggested age 6-15), young adults (suggested age 16-25) and adults (suggested age >25). - Bloggers to write pieces in English, Sinhala or Tamil. Entries should be divided in at least two ages categories (young and adults).
