This contract presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) experienced in cloud consultancy and software management. Companies that specialise in tagging strategies, cloud services, or IT consultancy would be well-positioned to compete effectively. The requirement to assess and execute a tagging strategy suggests a need for businesses offering innovative solutions in monitoring and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency within cloud environments.

## Notice

In order to develop an understanding of the environments operational within the cloud, it is vital that individual assets and services are tagged correctly with metadata. An effective tagging strategy will give improved visibility and monitoring, help create accurate show-back models and get more granular and precise insights into usage and spend by applications and teams. DWP's Cloud providers incorporate tagging into best practice procedures, when work is done to build instances they recommend tagging those. When looking at the scalability, tagging needs to be placed within infrastructure as code files which ultimately ends up in the CI/CD pipeline which requires skilled resources. In collaboration with our cloud providers, the DWP has already created a tagging strategy which has not yet been executed. The requirement is to secure a service to provide the following: * Assess the current tagging strategy * Execution of the tagging strategy, incl. engagement and execution plan with PDUs * Monitoring of tags and creation of tag reporting
