Kingston Council, like all local authorities, has many Health and Safety responsibilities as an employer and landlord. The Council requires an effective and accessible health and safety advisory service which can provide information and audit services in support of in-house staff, so as to enable health and safety to be effectively managed by RBK. This will include experience of safety issues as they impact on all local authority services including schools (e,g specific curriculum matters), domestic housing including high rise accommodation, residential care homes, management of waste, highways, all matters relating to statutory building compliance including fire safety risk assessments.
