## Summary

Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM) is conducting a tender process for the renewal of its Heating and Hot Water Systems Framework, titled "EEM0026 Heating and Hot Water Systems Framework." This procurement, classified under the industry category of hot water and district heating, is open to a range of public sector members including housing associations, local authorities, NHS Trusts, education providers, and emergency services across the United Kingdom, with specific locations in England and Wales. The tender process, which is currently in the tender stage, will close on April 29, 2025, with the framework period running from August 18, 2025, to August 17, 2029. The procurement method is an open procedure above the threshold, with the minimum value set at £500 million and an estimated total value of £850 million. The framework is divided into three main lots covering domestic, commercial, and renewable heating systems, further subdivided into regional and national sublots.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities, especially for SMEs and VCSEs, as it seeks multiple contractors for long-term agreements covering various heating-related services, including servicing, maintenance, and installation. Businesses specialising in diverse heating systems such as gas, solid fuel, oil, and renewable technologies will find this framework advantageous. With the ability to cater to both the domestic and commercial sectors, as well as providing 24-hour emergency repair services, companies equipped to operate across multiple geographical sub-regions are well-suited to compete. The procurement process allows for both direct selection and mini-competitions, ensuring a fair selection based on quality evaluations and scope of service provision.
