## Summary

The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, with Electric Paper Ltd being awarded the contract valued at £116,244. The procurement falls under the industry category "Software package and information systems," with a specific focus on industry-specific software packages. The contract commenced on 1st August 2024 and is set to end on 31st July 2027. The system is integrated within the University's existing digital infrastructure and managed by the Centre for Academic Practice Enhancement (CAPE), with the first survey utilising the new module scheduled for November 2024. This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in the development of educational technology solutions, particularly those capable of delivering comprehensive feedback systems that integrate seamlessly with existing educational platforms like SITS and Blackboard Ultra. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are especially well-positioned to benefit from such opportunities as indicated by the suitability criteria. The open procedure allows a broad range of vendors to participate, fostering competitive bids and encouraging innovation. Companies with expertise in software development, user experience design, and system integration are ideally suited to compete for similar contracts, allowing them to expand their portfolio and enhance their credibility within the educational sector.

## Notice

The University of Cumbria (UoC) is seeking a new online Module Evaluation System to strengthen institutional mechanisms for gathering and responding to student feedback. UoC operates across a range of campuses in the North West and London, alongside a growing portfolio of online learning provision. The Module Evaluation System will be used by all students to provide feedback on their experiences at module level. Additional surveys may be offered at programme level or to specific cohorts of students. The new Module Evaluation System will integrate with the existing UoC digital ecosystem, including SITS and Blackboard Ultra. The new system will be managed by the Centre for Academic Practice Enhancement (CAPE) with support from IT and Academic Registry, and will operate across all academic Institutes (equivalent of faculties). The new Module Evaluation System will play a key role in our new University approach to student engagement and communication through providing actionable insight into the student experience across all provision. It is intended that the first Module Evaluation Survey utilising the new system will run in November 2024.
