Birmingham has been granted funding under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Welcome Back Fund to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas. A proportion of this funding is to develop events in a number of urban centre across the city in a covid safe manner which will drive footfall back to high streets and shopping areas. This contract is available for use for projects funded externally from the Council including Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Welcome Back Fund which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth. This will involve installation of 2 cameras (devices) on Highways Columns opposite the bench. Technology must allow visitors to place a short message, followed by their name and hometown. The facility will need to operate 24 hours a day. Install must take place by 17 March 2022. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
