## Summary

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office is initiating a procurement process titled "Copper Telephone Cabling Management", which falls under the Network Cabling industry category. Currently in the planning stage, this contract will require at least two engineers with relevant experience in cabling services to support office moves and installations. The engagement end date is set for 30th August 2019, and the contract is expected to have a duration of two years with possible extensions of up to two additional years. The work will be based in London, at the office located on King Charles Street.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in cabling services, particularly those with a strong background in network infrastructure and telecommunications. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-suited to compete, especially those with engineers who possess the necessary security clearance (DV clearance) and the ability to collaborate closely with multiple suppliers. The scope of work includes installation, movement, and maintenance of analogue and digital telephone lines as well as on-site support for video conferencing, making it an attractive opportunity for engineering firms looking to expand their service offerings.
